Love this book!
This was the most beautiful way to talk to my 9-year-old this last Christmas. He had already asked about Santa, so this really helped bring the magic back for him! He adored the message and signing his name in the back was the cherry on top. I personally loved the whole design and illustrations. The cover is just beautiful and the lock and key idea is unique and perfect for making a child feel special when the time comes to open it up. Definitely recommend!
For the past few years, we’ve done everything we could to keep the magic of Santa alive for our son. Each Christmas, his curiosity and questions grew a little stronger, and we found ourselves getting more creative. One year we even doctored a photo of Santa in our living room setting out presents, just to keep his wonder alive a bit longer.
But as his suspicions grew, we began to worry that the truth might slip out in a way that could break the magic for his younger siblings. That’s why we turned to The Santa Book. It gave us the perfect way to explain that while the story of Santa changes as you grow older, the spirit of Santa never fades.
Through its message, we were able to help him understand that the real magic of Christmas isn’t about who’s sneaking down the chimney, but about love, generosity, and creating joy for others. Giving him this book allowed us to invite him into the process and to help us keep the magic alive for the younger kids and to feel proud of being part of making Christmas magical. What began as a moment of loss became a moment of growth, and the magic feels even stronger knowing he now helps pass it on.
Wow-this book was exactly what we needed! My son was questioning the truth behind all of the magic this past Christmas. He wanted to believe but he needed the truth. This book so beautifully captured the meaning and spirit of Christmas in a way that helps older kids hold onto the magic and spirit of Christmas. I cried as we read it. My son felt relieved to know the truth and honored to now be in on the secret. He takes his job of keeping the magic going for younger children very seriously. I highly recommend this book! It’s a treasure!
The Santa Book: A True Story is a beautiful addition to any family’s holiday traditions. I came across an ad for this book and was intrigued, so I ordered it—without realizing that last Christmas would be the very last one my youngest child truly believed.
When the book arrived, I was blown away by how stunning it was and moved to tears by its heartfelt message. Months later, when some classmates told my daughter that Santa wasn’t real, she came home heartbroken. I took this book from the shelf, and we read it together. I had to stop several times because the story touched me so deeply—it perfectly captures the true magic of Christmas and the idea that we can all be Santa.
My daughter’s favorite part was singing the ending and making the promise to continue spreading the magic of Christmas, just as others once did for her. This book turned a sad moment into a beautiful memory we’ll treasure forever.
For anyone wondering, there’s no religious content in this book—just a warm, inclusive message about kindness, generosity, and the spirit of giving. It’s a story every family can enjoy and cherish, regardless of beliefs.
I recommend this book to every parent, or person who has children in their lives. Such a magical story.
